Terms of Service
The agreement governing your use of Skoo.
Last updated: July 24, 2025
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Skoo School Management Software, including the getskoo.com website, school management application, family and teacher portals, and partner portal (collectively, the "Service").
By registering for or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the school or organization you represent.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of a school or organization to create an account. School owners, principals, or designated administrators may register and manage school accounts.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized access.
Skoo supports role-based access and two-factor authentication. Schools are responsible for assigning appropriate roles to staff members.
4. Subscription and billing
Skoo is offered on a per-student-per-term subscription basis unless otherwise agreed in writing. Fees are billed based on active student enrollment each academic term.
Payments are processed through Paystack or other approved payment methods. Failure to pay may result in suspension of access to the Service.
Pricing may change with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
5. School data and responsibilities
Schools retain ownership of data they upload to Skoo. You grant Skoo a limited license to host, process, and display that data solely to provide the Service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of data entered, compliance with applicable education and data protection laws, and obtaining necessary consents from parents, students, and staff.
You must not upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service, attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with other users, reverse engineer the platform, or use Skoo for any unlawful purpose.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Intellectual property
Skoo, including its software, branding, documentation, and website content, is owned by Skoo and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or proprietary technology except as needed to use the Service.
8. Partner program
Partners participating in the Skoo Partner program are subject to additional partner terms communicated during onboarding. Commission structures, referral rules, and withdrawal policies are defined in the partner portal.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skoo shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid by you to Skoo in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate the subscription according to the billing terms. Upon termination, access to the Service may be revoked. Schools may request data export before account closure where available.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Nigeria, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
13. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to hello@getskoo.com.
The complete Privacy Policy is on this page. It covers what data Skoo collects, how we use it, and your rights under Nigerian data protection law.
Your school owns the student and staff records you enter. Skoo processes that data on your behalf to provide the platform and does not sell personal data.
Contact hello@getskoo.com from your school admin email. We will guide you through export options and account closure where applicable.
We update the last modified date at the top of each legal page. Material changes may also be communicated by email to account holders.
